14.07.11. Lets go with the details about the forecasted weather for the next weekend in our Costa Tropical of Granada, ‘Our Lady of Mount Carmel’ Edition. There will no trouble with maritime processions Saturday evening.

Synopsis: in the last few weeks, west-southwestern winds are playing an important role in our Meteorology, appearing in an intermittent way. They have been cooling the Alboran Sea waters, with a general comment pronounced by people in the beach: “Oh! Water is cold!” In this way, it seems this tendency will continue in the next weekend, as west-southwestern winds could blow strongly again by Sunday, due to the pass of a new atlantic trough. Lets go with the details:

Tomorrow: the day could begin with some low clouds. If they appears, they should dissipate quickly since midday, with clear sky in the evening. Wind will blow from N and NE, especially along the main valleys and along the coastal-line, early in the morning. After that, a diurnal breeze regime will stablish, so wind will blow weakly from SW along the coastal-line, from variable directions inland, weakly as well. In any case they will tend to abate at night, so the maritime procession in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel could carry out without trouble.

TEMPERATURE IN SALOBREÑA: MIN.: 20ºC – MAX.: 26ºC

Sea surface temperature (coastal waters): 21ºC

Sunday: few clouds or no clouds in the sky. There is a small chance of some altocumulus clouds development, with minor importance. Wind will blow from N, weak in general, at first hours, along the main valleys and along the coastal-line. With the pass of the time, it will turn to WSW, blowing with moderate (even strong) gusts. There is a chance wind could turn to NW at the end of the day, suffering the Foëhn Effect, although it is very difficult to forecast what locations could reach.

TEMPERATURE IN SALOBREÑA: MIN.: 20ºC – MAX.: 24ºC.

Sea surface temperature (coastal waters): 22ºC
